🛠️ Key Enhancements and Improvements
This release continues our commitment to performance and stability with several important background updates:
- Upgraded Internal Components: We have upgraded key internal components to enhance performance, strengthen security, and improve application stability.
- Web Update Improvements: The web update feature has been made more robust, particularly for applications compiled as Universal EXE files.
- Runtime File Cleanup: To keep user systems clean, the runtime will now automatically remove old runtime DLLs from the AppData location.
- Dongle Support: Includes internal updates for Enky CT and LC dongles.
✍️ We appreciate the community’s feedback, which was helpful in resolving the following issues:
- Fixed “Save As” Dialog Path: Corrected a significant regression where the “Save As” dialog would incorrectly default to a previously used directory. It now correctly respects the path optionally specified via the
SetSecureWorkbookFilenameVBA function. - Improved EXE Version Information: Resolved a bug where the CompanyName et InternalName fields in the compiled EXE’s version information were not being set correctly during compilation. You can now specify their values in the EXE Version Info editor.
We are confident that these updates and fixes will provide a more stable and reliable experience for both you and your end-users. We encourage all users to update to XLS Padlock 2025.2.
