Refund policy

XLS Padlock is a one-time purchase you can evaluate in full before you pay. This page explains how refunds work, and why trying the free trial first matters.

After your activation code is emailed, the license cannot be returned, so no refund is given.
30-day technical exception
If a genuine incompatibility stops it working, we may refund within 30 days, at our discretion, minus up to 10% in fees.

A full-featured trial edition of XLS Padlock is available to download from our website . It lets you exercise every feature of the software, so you can confirm it works for you and meets your needs before you decide to buy.

We strongly recommend that every customer download, install, and test the trial edition before making a purchase.

After your purchase

Once your payment clears, you receive an email with an activation code for the registered edition.

After that code is emailed to you, no refund is given. An activated copy of XLS Padlock cannot be returned, so please take full advantage of the trial edition before you complete your purchase.

Refunds under extenuating circumstances

In rare cases, and only within 30 days of purchase, if technical difficulties or platform incompatibilities prevent XLS Padlock from functioning, we may, at our discretion, issue a refund minus our order-processing and banking fees (up to 10% of the purchase price).

To process such a request, we need enough information to positively identify your purchase, for example:

  • Order number
  • Your company name
  • Date of the transaction
  • Activation code
  • Number of licenses purchased

If we can positively identify your order and your request is made within 30 days of purchase, you must send us an Affidavit of De-Installation and Non-Use of Software on your company letterhead before we process the refund.

G.D.G. Software is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected mail or email, download delays, or other communication-system delays.
