How to Save and Restore Settings Using Templates

XLS Padlock allows you to save your current project settings into a template file. This is a powerful feature that can save you a significant amount of time, especially if you frequently create new workbook applications with similar configurations.

Once you have configured all the desired options for your project (such as security settings, customization, and output options), you can save this configuration as a template.

Click the XLS Padlock App Menu button icon App Menu button and then Save Current Settings As Template menu. You will be prompted to choose a location and a name for your template file (which will have a .XPLP extension).

When you start a new project or want to apply a standard configuration to an existing one, you can easily restore settings from a previously saved template.

Click the XLS Padlock App Menu button icon App Menu button, then the Restore Project from Template menu, browse to your .XPLP template file, and select it. All of the settings stored in that template will be instantly applied to your current project.
